The Jimmy Olivas Athletic Foundation was established by a group of supporters of the University of Nevada’s Boxing Team, to continue a tradition that began at this school in 1928 and has been perpetuated over the years by the dedication and perseverance of Coach Olivas. We want to carry on this tradition by assisting young people in our community who have the athletic skills and scholastic ability, but do not have the financial resources to continue their higher education.
